The Strolling Scholars program allows faculty and staff the opportunity to discuss exciting new trends in education practice and policy while getting exercise! Interested participants share available times and are matched into groups of no more than 6.
Upon joining a group, each individual will have the responsibility roughly once a month to select a short article or blog post to be shared with the group at least 3 days prior to the walk. During the walk, that person will take responsibility for facilitating conversation between group members. This responsibility will rotate through group members, so how often each person is responsible for sending out an article and leading the discussion will vary based on the size of the group.
We ask that all participants bring water and wear clothing which is appropriate for moderate exercise and comfortable shoes. There will be several route options offered and the groups can also select their own routes.
If you’d like to be a part of the Spring 2014 Strolling Scholars, please fill out this interest form to be matched into a group.
