ACE Fellowship Application Deadlines

NC State Procedures

2015-16 ACE Fellows Program
If you are interested in applying for an ACE Fellowship, you should discuss your interest first with your department head and/or dean.  Your department will be responsible for continuing your salary and benefits if your application to ACE is successful.  The Provost will be responsible for other costs of the Fellowship, contingent on availability of funds.  Nominations submitted on November 1 are for the next academic year.

Deadlines:
September 1, 2014: Potential Fellow nominees submit a preliminary application to the Office of the Provost using the sample application packet found on the ACE website. A brief letter of support from the dean indicating that leave will be awarded if you are selected for the program should accompany the preliminary application.

September 15, 2014: If there is more than one potential Fellow nominee, the Provost will appoint a selection committee comprised of the administrator responsible for this process as chair, two previous ACE Fellows graduates, and two Distinguished University Professors so the committee has five members.

The selection committee (if convened) recommends one or two nominations to the Provost. The Provost will select NC State’s nominee.

ACE allows only one Fellow nominee per institution.
